How Coffee Crossing came to be.
The idea for Coffee Crossing was spawned one night after I led some High School students in a church small group meeting. A strip center was under construction across the stree from the church, it was calling our for a local homegrown Cafe'. As a long time coffee shop patron to other area shops I felt led to be the guy to fill this need. After much prayer and almost as much research Coffee Crossing was born.
Our Mission Statement
There were (and still are) three things I felt we must excell in to be successful. I knew our drinks had to be outstanding. I hired consultants and went to trade shows and subscribed to every trade magazine I could to assure our drink preparation would be perfect. Secondly I wanted to provide an incredibly warm atmopsphere that I would want to spend time in. I drew on my background as a one time buyer in fashion merchandise and a close designer friend of mine to put together that warm atmosphere.
Finally I wanted our drinks served by the friendliest staff I could put together. So I went on a quest to hire that staff. These three components of Coffee Crossing not only describe how I wanted to construct the shop but they became our missions statement.
1. To serve the finest drinks.
2. In the warmest atmosphere
3. By the friendliest staff imaginable.
